The most consistent way to make the pancakes is as follows:

Take the hot pan off the hob and swirl the butter evenly across it. Now put a ladle of batter into the hot pan with a large ladle and distribute it evenly by swirling.

Important: In any case, wait long enough until the underside is really nicely browned and the pancake has set accordingly. It’s easy to notice when you try to lift the pancake with the spatula. If that’s really easy, then you can turn the pancake without any problems without it tearing. Now bake the second side until it is golden yellow.
